Happens a lot in top football...Keeper does everything to stop a striker scoring 1 on 1...
Ref saw it...could have given a yellow for dangerous play...but didn't...
Many would have complained if Adrian hadn't gone full in to that challenge...

One of the reasons I prefer Randolph to Adrian is precisely because he doesn't do this shit. I've always thought Adrian was a bit of a poseur, or show pony 'keeper. He's a bit dramatic, rolls around, tries to take the piss out of the oppo (nothing wrong with that), but if you're going to do all that you'd better not make a mistake.
Adrian has always been close to the next car crash, and this season he's made a few mistakes that have cost us goals. Last year he got away with it.
I like my goalkeepers solid and boring, banging out the sort of performances Randolph did in the first OT game but without the histrionics.

TBH I'm not even sure that Adrian meant to do him.
I think he was putting his leg up to protect himself against Ibrahimovic falling on him and caught him on the knee.
He could have done with doing something similar later in the game when Ibrahimovic did make sure he fell on him.

Probably right gph. I think a lot of fans are like me and try hard to like Adrian because he's a decent bloke most of the time. Some of his penalty and shot stopping can be spectacular. However, he flaps at crosses and never knows when to come out or stay.
He is another one of those players that is OK for us but I feel sure we could do better so I find it hard to forgive him for his sins. Mind you if Payet did the same thing to Ibrahimovic I'd feel very protective towards him and making excuses....

There's probably little difference between what Barry Bennell did and Jimmy Saville did but it doesn't excuse either of them! Both wrong 'uns.
I never saw the Costa incident but I did see what Adrian did and it was bad. Had Ibrahimovic put all his weight on the leg Adrian may well have ended his career there and then.
I don't particularly like Ibrahimovic but it was bad and if the FA took the action they should we would be short on keepers as well as strikers and full backs...

Camel - if it had been De Gea on Payet it would have either not been mentioned or brushed aside like what happened with Costa on Adrian.
